NEW YORK - Cordy Glenn will become a professional football player Friday.

That much is widely agreed upon. Exactly when it will happen is not so certain. Opinions vary on where the former Georgia offensive lineman will be selected in the second round of the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall.

Chad Reuter of NFL.com predicted Wednesday that Glenn will be picked No. 13 overall by the Arizona Cardinals. Pat Kirwan of CBSSports.com projected the Cincinnati Bengals at pick No. 21. Meanwhile, Glenn participated Wednesday in an NFL Play 60 event at Chelsea Waterside Park and tried not to think about it.

“I haven’t researched which team is right for me because they might not pick me,” he said. “I’m really just looking forward to seeing where I am going to be playing the next few years. It’s nothing I can control. I am just trying to control myself tomorrow and see what happens.”

Glenn will be at Radio City Music Hall when his name is called so that he can walk onto the stage and shake hands with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“I don’t know what the emotions are going to be,” he said. “This is going to be the biggest thing to happen in my life so far so I don’t know how it’s going to be for me until it happens.”

After saying this, Glenn was informed by a member of the media from Texas that he will not fall past No. 26 because the Houston Texans covet him.

“Yea, I’ve been to Houston,” he said with a big smile. “I like it.”

Glenn also reflected briefly on his favorite memory as a Bulldog.

“I would definitely say beating Florida this year,” he said. “Losing to them how we lost the first three years of my career, it just felt really good after the game to beat those guys.”
