ATHENS - Georgia begins a two-game conference road trip with a matchup against rival Florida Tuesday night.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air nationally on ESPN.

The Bulldogs fell 74-59 to Alabama in their SEC opener Jan. 7. The loss ended a five-game win streak and dropped Georgia to 9-6.

Florida enters 12-4, having been upset by Tennessee in its last outing.

Georgia has struggled away from home under coach Mark Fox and hasn't won in Gainesville since 2002. The Bulldogs are 4-12 in the last 16 meetings against the Gators when playing in the Sunshine State.

While Georgia struggled against the Crimson Tide, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was a bright spot. The freshman guard scored 22 points and is now averaging 14.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

“Kentavious is a good player, and he’s been thrust into a large role as a freshman,” Fox said.

Georgia finishes its road swing Saturday at Vanderbilt before hosting a trio games starting Jan. 18 against Tennessee.
