Mark Richt was not scheduled to meet with the media today, but did release a statement regarding the Jones.
""I appreciate the work of our compliance office for its time and effort in providing a thorough, comprehensive report and I'm thankful for the timely manner in which the NCAA reviewed and evaluated all the facts to reach a decision. We're ready to move on with preparations for our season opener," the coach said.
The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer had reported that Adams "used funds in 2009 from an account set up for the city-sponsored basketball team to purchase four plane tickets between Atlanta and Los Angeles for Jones." The paper went on to report that "Adams also withdrew $700 in cash from the account and made notes on the transactions that may link them to Jones."
Jones has been practicing with the first team defense this fall camp.
