Richt Tells Players to Get Ready for Boise

ATHENS – Georgia head coach Mark Richt told his players yesterday that they will play Boise State at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta to open the 2011 season.

Richt declined comment on the matter when questioned by the media last night after practice.

"My comment is no comment," Richt said Thursday. "I'm not making any comment."

But it now appears the deal is done as Georgia's sports information office has scheduled a 5 PM teleconference with the media "regrading the 2011 Bulldog Football Schedule."

Meanwhile, Boise State, which is schedule to play Ole Miss in the 2011 season opener, would not comment on the matter, either.

"Gene (Bleymaier) keeps those types of things pretty close to him," Associate Athletic Director Bob Madden said Thursday night.

Bleymaier did not return phone calls to his office on Thursday and was not in the office on Friday. Georgia AD Greg McGarity told Seth Emerson of the Macon Telegraph: "I just can't say anything right now." Recommended Stories
